Hitachi Elevator Philippines Corporation (HEP), a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., operates in the distribution, installation, and maintenance of elevators and escalators in the Philippines, announces the implementation of a Body Camera Program across designated teams and field personnel. This initiative reflects HEP’s commitment to transparency, safety, and enhanced service quality.

The body-worn cameras will support accurate documentation of site activities, enhance safety monitoring and continuous improvement, and reinforce accountability in daily operations. The cameras are equipped with a specialized program that detects and scans specific QR codes, issuing on-the-spot voice alerts to personnel at the worksites. This feature aims to strengthen safety awareness and operational reliability. The system is designed with scalability in mind, enabling future functional enhancements. Information captured through body cameras will be utilized for various safety initiatives moving forward.

All recordings will be managed in accordance with company privacy and data security policies, stored in encrypted form to prevent unauthorized access. The program will be supported by comprehensive training to ensure employees understand operational guidelines and ethical use of devices.

HEP is committed to complying with all relevant laws and regulations concerning individual and public privacy.
